Our Statement of Faith
We believe in one God, maker of Heaven and earth, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Holy Scriptures as divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct for love and unity in the body of Christ.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless human life, divine miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection on the third day, ascension into heaven, mediatorial work, His personal return in power and glory, the general resurrection and final judgement.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, the lost are able to come to faith in Christ and all are able to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in the urgent evangelistic and missional calls of Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 1:8 to preach, baptize, make disciples and witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every nation.
Eric George Vickers
A native of Pontiac, Michigan and a son of Morehouse College, Rev. Eric George Vickers is equipped with a heart for connecting people to Christ. Since submitting to the Gospel call in October 2005, Rev. Vickers has been driven by the commitment to reverent and relevant ministry. Anchored by the call to evangelism and missions, he has shared the Good News across the United States, the Caribbean and on the continents of Africa and Europe. In 2016, Rev. Vickers deepened this passion by establishing Eric George Vickers Ministries, Inc. as a personal effort to effectively win souls and make disciples for Jesus Christ locally and abroad.
After launching into public ministry at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of Pontiac and gaining ministerial experience at other churches, Rev. Vickers honorably served as Pastor of Pilgrim Baptist Church of Atlanta from March 2014 until May 2016. Adopting the moniker “The Fellowship at English Avenue”, Pilgrim became one of Downtown Atlanta’s foremost community anchors for worship and outreach. Leading the charge, Rev. Vickers passionately led this burgeoning faith family to Gather in Spirited Worship, Grow in Christian Discipleship, Give in Biblical Stewardship & Go in Sacred Fellowship. Among many notable accomplishments, Pilgrim baptized dozens of new believers, created engaging bible study opportunities, revitalized church ministries, formed an administrative staff, and laid plans to launch the Pilgrim Community Foundation to meet the glaring needs of the historic neighborhood.
On Sunday, May 29, 2016 Pastor Vickers was affirmed as the under-shepherd of the historic Beulah Baptist Church of Atlanta. During this new season of excitement and challenge, Rev. Vickers continues to underscore the longtime focus of the church to be ‘Warmer through Fellowship, Deeper through Discipleship, Stronger through Worship and Larger through Evangelism’. During this short time, new souls and families have been added to the kingdom and church, respectively; ministries have been created and revitalized, physical and technological improvements have been made to the facility and community outreach through the Beulah Mission Resource Center, Inc., Vine City Health and Housing Ministry and other partners continues to flourish. Pastor Vickers is the recipient of many awards and holds membership in various civic and community organizations; however, he concedes that his greatest achievement and fortune is the gift of his beautiful wife, Cierrá and their jubilant son, Eric Jr.
